Fall Colors on a Rainy Afternoon at Shelby Farms
It's literally like I went to sleep last night and woke up this morning to an explosion of fall leaves. And light rain. That's a winning combination for painting in my opinion. I've been working pretty small lately in my sketchbook and mainly with pastels. It was good to have a chance to work a little bigger and in paint.
I feel like some of the color palette exploration work I did this summer is paying off. Loving some of the subtle color shifts from blue-green to green, burnt orange to brown-magenta blue-gray to light gray.
