A Fair Thistle
Last week, I had the privilege to go to Glasgow on business. It was a short trip, Saturday to Friday but jam-packed with experiences and images that I just have not been able to get past. Painting is definitely a way I decompress from those kinds of super-rich things, so I took to canvas this afternoon and ripped out this one.
It’s much more loose and sketchy than normal, but also fuller of emotion. A lot of the images I have from the trip have been captured in my sketchbook and camera, but what I was after here was the emotion I felt when I was in the awesome, gritty and colorful Scottish city of Glasgow.
30×40″. Mixed media on canvas.
