I painted this cloud study today after listening to a lecture on Picasso and his striving to capture an idea or an emotion over accuracy or details of some particular place or thing.

At the very least that thought helped me to loosen up as I went out to paint at Rhodes College. It was a beautiful, sunny late spring day with a bright blue sky and huge white puffy clouds.

This is a 9 x 12″ mixed media painting on paper. It's presented in an 16 x 20″ gallery clip frame, with glass and wired for hanging.
