So I took a day off from the office on Friday and dedicated the afternoon to painting. The weather was perfect. A crisp, still January day that was unseasonably warm. The long field grass at Shelby Farms has such a beauty to it. If the sun is shining on or through it, determines the color displayed—a range from bronze to pale yellow to bright gold.
Being able to capture such a fleeting moment (the beauty of the day) of such a insignificant thing (grass) in such an energetic way (4 hours of work) makes me happy.
