As I scanned the horizon for the composition I wanted to settle on, that little orange tree in the top right caught my eye, and I instantly knew what I wanted to capture.

The smokey grays and evergreens of winter are starting to come out but a few bright fall oranges are hanging in there and some summery greens are still around. I’m loving the fact that it’s after Thanksgiving and the leaves in Memphis haven’t really fully changed yet. The field is like a living cornucopia of colors.
